Ganja Trafficers and Sellers Parade held in Udupi

Udupi: A parade of accused in drug trafficking and selling cases was held at Chandu Maidan in Udupi district on Wednesday, October 28.

 

The accused preset in parade includes two from Byndoor police station, 18 from Kundapur police station, 4 from Kundapur rural, two from Kota station, 12 from Udupi Town police station, , 5 from Malpe station, 16 from Manipal police station, two from CEN Station, 2 from Karkala Town, 5 from Padubidri Police station, 3 from Kaup police station and one from Hiriyadka police station. Altogether 72 accused were participated during the parade.

Addressing the accused who participated in the parade, Superintendent of Police N Vishnuvardhan called on the people to live a better life without engaging in such seductive activities. At the same time, he also issued stringent legal warnings that if such a trend continues, the details of drug trafficking and seller information would be kept confidential.

Additional Superintendent of Police Kumarachandra KPS, DySP T. R. Jaishankar, Armed Reserve Police DySP Raghavendra, Udupi Circle Inspector Manjunath and Police officials of the district police stations were present.
