Brahmavara : Brahmavara police have been arrested two accused in connection with the theft of cashew nuts boxes by breking the the locks into the factory.

The arrested accused identified are Syed Mohammed Basheer (37), resident of Indira Nagar of Puttur taluk and Ummer Farooq (36), a resident of Mittur, Bantwal of Dakshina Kannada district.

On October 26, they were rammed the side door of the Vinayaka Cashews Nuts factory in Hosur of Brahmavar taluk. It’s about trying to get the shutter door up to the inside door using items like a car jack. Meanwhile, at Mundkin Jeddu of Cherkadi grama, thieves entered with open the Vijayadurga Cashew nuts factory shutters and collected 10 kg each boxes of 32 cashew nuts boxes which valued approximately Rs 1,40,000. The complaint was lodged in Brahmavar police station under various IPC sections.

Under the guidance of Udupi SP Vishnuvardhan, Additional SP Kumarachandra and DySP Jaishankar have instructed to investigate two cases of Brahmavara police station and similar cases registered at Hebri police station and Ajekar police stations, under the direction from the Brahmavara Circle Inspector Ananthapadmanabha, Brahmavara Station PSI Raghavendra C and their special team have been arrested two persons accused from Puttur of Dakshina Kannada district on 28.10.2020. Similar cases have been registered against the accused at Hebri Police Station and Ajekar Police Station in Udupi District.

Police seized the Maruti Swift car approximated valued Rs. 4 lac and Cashew nuts 32 boxes approximate valued of Rs 1,40,000 and three mobile phones valued Rs 10,000. Total worth of Rs 5,52,000 valued materials recovered from the accused.

The accused have been produced in court on 29^th October and remanded in police custody for further investigation.
