Print Kemmannites remember their departed loved ones on All Souls Day.
Kemmannu: On Monday, 2nd November, All saints day, Christian Kemmannites paid homage to their departed loved ones by offering mass and visiting the church cemetery. Special masses were celebrated by Fr. Victor D Souza, the parish priest along with Fr. Romel Saldanha of Jaipur Diocese. Large number of parishioners attended the 3 masses and prayed for their departed family members.
After the mass, the gathered people proceeded to the cemetery in a disciplined procession. All family graves were mended, decorated with flowers, and lit with candles.
At the cemetery, Fr. Victor led the special prayers of the occasion along with Fr. Romel, blessed and sprinkled holy water on the cemetery graves.
All souls day is an occasion to remember the departed family members and become nostalgic. Throughout the week that preceded parishioners booked holy masses to their loved ones who are no more
