Tidal Captive Power Plant ready for installation at Kadige Seashore near Kemmannu

Udupi : A tidal captive power plant project to be installed at Kadike Seashore near Kemmannu here. It is a part of our revolution to adopt renewable forms of energy and save our planet earth, said Vijayakumar Hegde, Scientist, Researcher and founder of Susi Global Research Center.
He was addressing at a press meet held on Monday, November 9, at a workshop at Shivalli, Ambagilu-Manipal Road here. He said that an international standard, Susi Global Research Centre started in the year 1979 which is mainly deals with renewable and alternative source of energy. The main objective is to research, invent and promote our work in national and international markets from past 4 decades and centre spent approximately Rs.25 crore for the research.
He said that their aim to reduce usage of fossil fuels to protect our planet earth from harmful effects of global warming and climate change. He said power sector will be in number one position in near future. Renewable energy will make major role in the international market. A successful research product is always a high income business or industry. So many organizations have proved it. A successful research product with patent always has tremendous potential.
He said that Tidal Captive power plant after rigorous experiments and research, now time has come for its final phase which has been involved with an experiment of generating electricity from tidal captive waves. Now the time has come to -pledged power generation and distribution plant. Along with Susi Global Research Center well known prestigious East West Group, so called power generating project will be established at Kadige beach of Udupi district.
He said as far as revenue business point is concerned, the revenue will be as compared to wind energy 3 times and solar five times more could be expected. The efficiency and cost effectiveness is concerned much better than the hydroelectric project as they require more land for water storage purpose. It would be environment friendly that n o carbon emission hence no contribution to global warming.
Hegde said that on Thursday, November 12, the installation process will begin and there is plan to build research station, Moreover we are waiting for the feasibility report from the government.
Prof Narayana Shanbaug former Principal of Canara College of Engineering also spoke during the press meet. He said after his retirement he would associated with this tidal captive power plant research as it is his subject of interest.
