Udupi : The role of Corona Pandemic warriors in the district much more appreciated that the Udupi district faced the pandemic successfully compared to other districts, said Raghupathy Bhat, Local MLA.
After inaugurating 67th All India Co-operatives Saptah and progrmme on post COVID cooperatives responsibilities and their role held at Jagannath Sabha Bhavan, Badagubettu Credit Cooperative Society, near Mission Hospital here on Saturday, November 14, Raghupathy Bhat said that all the institutions including cooperative society are facing difficulties on Corona pandemic. The district administration and the government succeeded to face the challenge on the pandemic even though some people made charges. There should active role to face such pandemic by the cooperatives societies in the district. He appreciated specially the work of Dr. Shashikiran Umakanth of Dr. T M A Pai Covid Hospital and Udupi Taluk Health officer Nagarathna.
The country has been moving towards lot of development in all fields. Our country will break China in development in few years. The cooperative societies should give hand to hand with the government for the development, he said.
During the occasion Dr. Shashikiran Umakanth and Nagarathna were felicitated for the valuable services during the corona pandemic.
Udupi district Sahakara Union President B Jayakar Indrali presided over the programme. Udupi CMC President Sumitra R Nayak, Udupi Urban Development Authority Chairman Raghavendra Kini, District Cooperatives Accounts Official M H Vittal Sherigar, Kundapur Cooperatives Societies Assistant Director Arun Kumar SV were the chief guests present on the dais.
Other present on the dais were Director Deviprasad Shettym Parkala Durga Parameshwari Society President B Ramakrishna Nayak, SCDCC Bank director Deviprasad Shetty, Parkala Durga Parameshvari Society President B Ramakrishna Nayak, Union vice president Ashok Kumar Ballal, Prakashchandra Shetty, Directors Harish Kini, Manoj Karkera, Acting CEO Purushotam SP and others.
Canara Society President U Mohan Upadyaya was welcomd the gatherings. Sri Durgaparamehvari Society CEO Nithyananda Parkala compered the programme.
