Kundapur: Two persons have been arrested by the Kundapur police for allegedly breaking into a house in Beijadi Jayaraj Shetty’s house in Kundapur in Udupi district.

On the night of 06.09.2020, Jayaraj Shetty on Bipanbettu road in Kundapur taluk Beezadi village locked his house to attend his wife’s funeral. According to a complaint lodged by Jayaraj Shetty at the Kundapur station, he was arrested by the police. 123/2020 Case 454 457 380 the case was registered as IPC. They broke the house lock and entered the house and they stolen the gold ornaments valued Rs 9,88,500 and also stolen the silver ornaments as per the complaint to the police.

On 12.11.2020 police succeeded to arrest the accused Rajesh Naik @Raja @ Raju Pamadi aged about 42 years of Indrali, Durga Nagar, near Durga Parameshwari temple and his permanent residence at Tollnaka, Janath Nagar, Dharwad and his accused wife Padma Pamadi aged 37 years. During the investigation by the police, the accused stolen several valuable ornaments at Kundapura, Gangolli, Surathkal, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Gokarna, Kumta, Honnavar, Karwar and  Dharwad City. During investigation the accused agree that they stolen ornaments from temples and other religious places. Police recovered worth of 202 grams gold and 1Kg and 683 grams of silver and two numbers of two wheelers from the accused.

Under the order from SP Vishnuvardhan and guidance from Additional SP Kumarachandra and DySP Hariram Shanker IPS, Kundapur Circule Inspector Gopikrishna K R seized valuable ornaments from accused and also seized ornaments from shops which sold out by the accused. Both accused were produced in the court and remanded in police custody,

Kundapur Traffic Station Sudarshan, Shankaranarayana PSI Sridhara Naik and staff Manjunatha, Santhosh, Raghavendra, Siddhappa circle office staff Seetharama, Victor, Gururaj, Udaya women’s staff, Baby, Chandravathi, Ashrita and the driver Santhosh were participated in the operation.
