Udupi : After taking over as President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, D. K Shivakumar to visit Udupi district on Saturday, November 28, 2020 for the first time. In order to pre-preparation for the forthcoming gram panchayat elections in the state, D. K Shivakumar will be participate Udupi District Congress Convention to be held at Basil Missionaries Memorial Auditorium at Mission Compound here on 29th November.
Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Saturday, November 28, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor President of Udupi district Congress Committee said that to motivate the party workers for the preparation of forthcoming elections, the congress convention will be held and all the necessary arrangements have been done by the committee to welcome him to the district.
He said that D K Shivakumar will arrive to Byndoor at 8 pm and visit Sri Kshetra Kamalashile temple where he will take darshan from God. Later he will go to Kolluru and stay in Kolluru.
Next day on Sunday, November 29, DKS will take darshan from Goddess Mookambika at Kollur at 9.15am. He will be arriving to the convention at Mission Compound Hall at 11am. After the convention he will visit to Congress Bhavan, Brahmagiri at 2pm to take part in a district working committee members meeting and visit various block presidents and other leaders. He will Udupi at 4pm.
Ashok Kumar Kodavoor said that Kissan Congress State President Sachin Meega, Mahila Congress State President Pushpa Amarnath, former MLAs Gopal Bhandary, Pramod Madhwaraj, Vinay Kumar Sorake, U R Sabhapathy and other frontline leaders will participate in the convention.
During the press meet Prakyath Shetty DCC vice president, Vinay Kumar Sorake former minister, Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor district congress spokesperson, Prashanth Jathanna, Annaya Sherigar and Keerthi Shetty were present.
