Kemmannu Church Parish Feast Celebrations.
Kemmannu, January 13, 2021: Annual Parish Feast of Kemmannu Parish patron St.Theresa was celebrated on Wednesday, the 13th January, 2021 at Kemmannu church.
"Manacho Vati", blessed candles were distributed to donors who volunterily contributed to Feast fund. Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Rector, Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur led the high mass with host of other guest priest joining him at the altar.
Fr. Valerian delivered a powerful homily dwelling on the short life of St. Theresa and the message she left behind her to us and also stressed the need to accommodate and give a space our fellow citizens to lead a peaceful and happy life in this world.
At the end of the mass, special candles were distributed to the donors who had contributed generously as there was no single sponsor or Pirgent for this year’s feast. Donors Mrs. Benedicta Saldanha, Mrs. Ivy Lobo and Mr. John Frederick were honoured to hold the "Varrya Bodi" as a sign of respect.
Due to Covid-19 all outside celebrations including the vespers on Tuesday evening was cancelled. The two day programs arrangement were co-ordinated by parish priest Rev. Fr. Victor D Souza, Church VP Secretary along with parish council members, Gurkars, ICYM, YCS and other church associations.
