ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ : ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೈಕ್ ಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಅಪಘಾತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿ, ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ವಿತರಕ, ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಅಶೋಕ ಕೊಡಂಚ (75) ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ 9 ಗಂಟೆ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಸಮೀಪ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

ಅಶೋಕ್‌ ಕೊಡಂಚ ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ‌ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ವಿತರಕರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಜತೆಗೆ, ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿಯ ಮ್ಯಾಂಗನೀಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಳಿ ಸಣ್ಣ ಉದ್ಯಮ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಬುಧವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅಂಗಡಿ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಹಾಕಿ ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಬಳಿ ಮನೆ ಕಡೆಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಬೈಕ್ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸುವ ದಾರಿ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೈಕ್ ಸವಾರ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪತ್ನಿ, ಓರ್ವ ಪುತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಓರ್ವ ಪುತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇವರು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ವಿತರಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿಯ ಕಲ್ಪತರು ವಿವಿಧೋದ್ದೇಶ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
