Udupi : All shops and other commercial establishments should use signboards of their respective establishments with Kannada language, said Sujaya Poojary, Udupi district Karnataka Rakshana Vedike.

Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Friday, January 15, Sujaya Poojary said that Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, (T. A. Narayana Gowda wing) since 21 years worked for the cause of Kannada speaking people in the state. Kannada speaking people should get employment in banks and other establishments that now days; the Hindi speaking people are more in our district branches of all the banks.  Especially, all the bank branches should appoint the Kannada speaking staff and need to give first priority to Kannada speaking people, he said.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike here in Udupi district not so strong compared to the northern part of Karnataka State. We look forward to make our Vedike very strong in Udupi district through various programmes for the benefit of Kannadigas.

Sujaya Poojary said that in government all departments, there are plenty of jobs vacant. We demand to fill the vacancies for our educated unemployed youths.

He said that in municipal limits and panchayat limits, all shops should use their establishment signboards in Kannada language only.
