Prakash Shankar ASI of Udupi district selects for President’s Police Award on Republic Day

Udupi : Prakash Shankar, an Assistant Sub-inspector of the district Crime Record Bureau has been selected for the President Police medal on the occasion of this year Republic Day.
He was joined the Police department in the year as police constable and served in undivided Dakshina Kannada district of Venur, Udupi Traffic department, DCRB, Manipal and Kaup police stations. He was promoted as head constable in 2009 and on 2017 he was promoted as ASI. Since 2018 he has been serving in district Crime Record Bureau.
He had been taken part in the investigation of many crime related incidents which took place in Udupi district and had acquired solid evidences related to the cases which were helpful in cracking the same.
He had involved in the investigation of a murder case in Gangolli, Manipal police station, Brahmavar, Shirva, Henri and Udupi City police state limits.
He represented Udupi district in 2005 at Hyderabad and he won Silver medal during the All India Police Duty Meet held at Bengaluru in 2009.
