Udupi : The responsibility of Udupi district in-charge will be decided by the chief minister and the party chief. The state government has given responsibility to hoist the flag to some other districts also by the other ministers who recently taken charge as ministers. Likewise, I hoisted flag on the occasion and it is sense indication of making me as district in-charge of Udupi. However, if the government offers me district in-charge minister of Udupi, I will accept the same, said S. Angara, Minister for Fisheries and Ports.

Speaking to media persons after the Republic Day celebrations programme, S Angara said in relate to giving him as a minister and who are disgruntled with the portfolio of certain ministers, he said that I have come up with the culture of organization. I should cooperate with the government also. People are elected me six times as a member of legislative assembly, but I never desired to be a minister and it has followed me. Once I told to Yeddyurappa regarding those who elected me several times, these my fans wanted that I should be power as a minister.

Those who are in the government should think equally. When our thinking differs, then problems will  be created to the state, he said.

In regard to his portfolio, he said that he is very new in this portfolio. I should study all departments of my allotted portfolio which takes time. There are some demands on problems of fishermen which should be resolved. I would work for the betterment of the fishermen and will visit the fishermen families which will helpful for experience, he said.

In a query about the some local raised objections on development of Padukere Marina Beach, Angara said that we take the opinion of locals, MLA and concerned department. We will work for the betterment of fishermen
