Udupi : Women disease specialized doctors association has organized seminar on women womb cancer which one of the largest women suffering from the womb cancer in India. More than 20 health centers and hospitals organizing the seminar from March 6 to March 8 on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club, Association President Dr Krishnanand Mayya said that the womb cancer can normally from 30 years age to 60 years of women have been identified. As per the statistics every year more than 1,23,000 women have suffered womb cancer and out of that more than 74,000 women died due to the womb cancer. If at the early stage of caner, it can possible to cure the disease with post screening method and HPV vaccine.

He said that during the post cancer stage, in order to find out the disease, there is simple Pap Test to be undertaken which the stage of cancer symptoms can be seen prior to 10 to 15 years. The womb pipe cancer can be cured by providing proper treatment, he said.

Dr Krishnanand said that between 25 years to 60 years of women can test for the womb cancer. The Women Disease Specialized Doctors Association on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Pap test will be conducted without any charge.

The free service available for three days in various health centers of the district. They are Health Centre Brahmavara, Hebri, Taluk hospital, Karkala, KMC Manipal, Sonia Clinic, Dr A V Baliga Hospital, Udupi, Dr T. M. A Hospital, Udupi Hi-tech Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, Udupi, Manish Hospital, Adarsh, Vivek, Navamasa Women Speciality Clinic, Vatsalya Clinic, Santhekatte and other clinics and hospitals as well.
