Udupi : Rev Fr. Canute Noronha, assistant parish priest of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur celebrated birthday at Milagres Cathedral portico on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Smt Felciana Lewis introduced Fr Canute Noronha who has been assistant parish priest of the Milagres Cathedral since May 2018 after transferred from Shirva Church.

Fr. Canute cut the beautiful cake of his birthday and shared to Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Rector of the Cathedral and others. In his brief words of thanksgiving and sharing his birthday happiness, Fr. Canute gave all gratitude to the parishioners’ for showing love towards him during his valuable three years. He remembered his parents for their effort to send him to God’s mission as a priest and asked to pray for his parents. He asked the parishioners’ to pray for his good health.

Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca spoke during the occasion and graced his blessings for Fr. Canute. Jeffrey Dias, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council welcomed the gatherings. Smt Felciana Lewis, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council proposed vote of thanks. Smt Flavia Menezes Coordinator of Pastoral Commissions compered the programme. Rev Fr. Brian Sequeira Vocational Director of Pilar Fathers, Deacon Rithesh of Pilar Fathers were present during the celebration. Cake was distributed to all the participants of the birthday celebration of beloved Fr. Canute. Large number of parishioners’ wished with garland and flowers to their beloved assistant parish priest Fr. Canute after the programme. ICYM members and other parish organizations were wished Fr Canute.
