Udupi : As many as in Udupi district  recorded  215 new positive cases and succumbed to one death from Karkala taluk for COVID-19 second wave on Friday, June 11. Active cases are reduced to 3717.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  215 covid positive cases, 38  cases reported as symptomatic which 20 are male and 18 are female, meanwhile out of 177 cases of asymptomatic, 80 are  male and 97 are female. 

Among 215 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 85, from Kundapura 80, Karkala taluk is 49 and from other districts is one.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 17 and at Home Isolation are 198. Total active cases today are 3717.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 10.06.2021 are 3407 and total tested on second wave till 10.06.2021 is 261458. Total first wave and second wave tested are 629699. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 10.06.2021 during second wave are 309 and total discharges on second wave are 36304.  Total discharges in the district are 59725.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  One death on second wave are occurred today on Friday, 11.06.2021. Till 11.06.2021 deaths in second wave is 164.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 354. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 40185. Total positives in the district are increased to 63796.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday are 18 to 44 years first dose 4980 and cumulative total 48399, second dose 0, cumulative second dose 0, above 45 years Ist dose are 3754 and cumulative total 221151, IInd dose 929 and cumulative total 66901, for HCW’s Ist dose 9 and cumulative total is 23246 and IInd dose 62, cumulative total is 19133, FLW’s Ist dose are 103 which cumulative total is 7403 and IInd dose16 and cumulative total is 3546. Total today Ist dose 8846 which cumulative total is 300199 and for IInd dose are 1006 people and cumulative total is 89580.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: Udupi 0, Total till on 11.06.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 4, In Karkalla 0, Till 11.06.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 1, Till 11.06.2021 is 5, other districts is 1, Till 11.06.2021 is 12. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 11.06.2021. Total discharges today are 0. Total discharges till 11.06.2021 is 12. Total cases in the district are 21. Total active cases are 7.
