Udupi : Udupi district  recorded  double figure of 79 new positive cases only and succumbed to two deaths which one male from Kundapura taluk and other a male from Udupi taluk for COVID-19 second wave on Tuesday, June 22. Active cases are reduced to 1520.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  79 covid positive cases, 35  cases reported as symptomatic which 14 are male and 21 are female, meanwhile out of 44 cases of asymptomatic, 20 are  male and 24 are female. 

Among 79 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 29, from Kundapura 29, Karkala taluk is 20 and from other districts is one.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 8 and at Home Isolation are 71. Total active cases today are 1520.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 21.06.2021 are 3027 and total tested on second wave till 21.06.2021 is 93338. Total first wave and second wave tested are 661579. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 21.06.2021 during second wave are 219 and total discharges on second wave are 40235.  Total discharges in the district are 63656.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  Two deaths on second wave are occurred today on Tuesday, 22.06.2021. Till 22.06.2021 deaths in second wave are 185.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 375. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 41940. Total positives in the district are increased to 65551.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Monday are 18 to 44 years first dose 3661 and cumulative total 81335, second dose 0, cumulative second dose 0, above 45 years Ist dose are 4936 and cumulative total 256381, IInd dose 866 and cumulative total 76177, for HCW’s Ist dose 12 and cumulative total is 23443 and IInd dose 20, cumulative total is 19353, FLW’s Ist dose are 1 which cumulative total is 7816 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total is 3800. Total today Ist dose are 8580 which cumulative total is 368975 and for IInd dose are 886 people and cumulative total is 99330.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till on 22.06.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 4, In Karkalla 0, Till 22.06.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till 22.06.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till 22.06.2021 is 16. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 22.06.2021. A total discharge on today is 2. Total discharges till 22.06.2021 is 20. Total cases in the district are 26. Total active cases are 4.
