Udupi : As many as 148 new positive cases and 71 years old female from Udupi taluk succumbed to death for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Saturday , July 31. Active cases are increased to 1105.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 148 covid positive cases, 86 cases reported as symptomatic which 42 are male and 44  are female, meanwhile out of 62 cases of asymptomatic 19 are  male and  43 are female. 

Among 156 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 74, from Kundapura 25, Karkala taluk is 47 and from other districts are 2..

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 18 and at Home Isolation are130. Total active cases today are1105.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 2021 are 3992 and total tested on second wave till 30.07.2021 is 414629. Total first wave and second wave tested are 782870. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 31.07.2021 during second wave are 88 and total discharges on second wave are 44834.  Total discharges in the district are 68255.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  One death reported on second wave occurred today on Saturday on 31.07.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 226.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 416. Total positives in first wave are 23421. Total positive in second wave is 46165. Total positives in the district are increased to 69776.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Saturday 18 to 44 years first dose  are 662 and cumulative total 1664152, second dose14, cumulative second dose 4363, above 45 years Ist dose are 179 and cumulative total 311914, IInd dose 42 and cumulative total 152294, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23560 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 19575, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8082 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total is 4069. Total today Ist dose are 841 which cumulative total is 507708 and for IInd dose are 56 people and cumulative total 180301.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 31. 8.07.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 31.07.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 31.07.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today on 31.07.2021 is 35. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 31.07.2021. A total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today on 31.07.2021 is 32. Total cases in the district are 47. Total active cases are 7.
