Udupi : As many as 162 new positive cases and 56 years old female from Udupi taluk succumbed to death for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Sunday, August 1. Active cases are increased to 1200.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 162 covid positive cases, 123 cases reported as symptomatic which 52 are male and 71  are female, meanwhile out of 39 cases of asymptomatic 21 are  male and  18 are female. 

Among 162 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 74, from Kundapura 25, Karkala taluk is 47 and from other districts are 2..

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 15 and at Home Isolation are147. Total active cases today are1200.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 31.07.2021 are 2910 and total tested on second wave till 31.07.2021 is 417539. Total first wave and second wave tested are 785780. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 01.08.2021 during second wave are 66 and total discharges on second wave are 44900.  Total discharges in the district are 68321.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  One death reported on second wave occurred today on Sunday on 01.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 227.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 417. Total positives in first wave are 23421. Total positive in second wave is 46327. Total positives in the district are increased to 69938.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Sunday 18 to 44 years first dose  are 2 and cumulative total 1664154, second dose 7, cumulative second dose 4370, above 45 years Ist dose are 7 and cumulative total 311921, IInd dose 24 and cumulative total 152318, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23560 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 19575, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8082 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total is 4069. Total today Ist dose are 9 which cumulative total is 507717 and for IInd dose are 31 people and cumulative total 180332.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 01.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 01.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 01.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today on 01.08.2021 is 35. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 01.08.2021. A total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today on01.08.2021 is 32. Total cases in the district are 47. Total active cases are 7.
