Udupi : As many as 135 new positive cases and no death reported for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Monday, August 2. Active cases are increased to 1238.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 135 covid positive cases, 70 cases reported as symptomatic which 39 are male and 31  are female, meanwhile out of 65 cases of asymptomatic 33 are  male and  32 are female. 

Among 135 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 67, from Kundapura 35, Karkala taluk is 32 and from other districts is one.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 17 and at Home Isolation are118. Total active cases today are1238.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 01.08.2021 are 1249 and total tested on second wave till 01.08.2021 is 418788. Total first wave and second wave tested are 787029. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 02.08.2021 during second wave are 97 and total discharges on second wave are 44997.  Total discharges in the district are 68418.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  No death reported on second wave occurred today on Monday on 02.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 227.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 417. Total positives in first wave are 23421. Total positive in second wave is 46462. Total positives in the district are increased to 70073.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 02.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 02.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 02.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today on 02.08.2021 is 35. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 02.08.2021. A total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today on 02.08.2021 is 35. Total cases in the district are 47. Total active cases are 7.
