Udupi : The congress party lost the confidence and verdict of the people. So it is natural for people who have lost confidence to express criticism of the government on Jan Ashirvada Yatra. People have blessed the BJP from the past ten years in various fields, said Energy and Kannada Culture Minister V Sunil Kumar.

Speaking to media persons at Udupi, on Monday, August 23, V Sunil Kumar said that when we see the present situation of Afghanistan, instead of Narendra Modi was not the prime minister, if Congress led the country, the situation of the country would have been different which was spoken by the people. As such, Congress has been indulging in criticizing the BJP. However, the BJP has been blessed by the people at large, he said.  

In relation to the length of Nadageethe, the minister said that the discussions have been held on the length of Nadageethe and what duration of time it will be needed. The discussions also started on how the image of Kannadambe Bhvaneshvari should be presented. In these cases, the Kannada and Culture department will finalize the matter at the earliest, Kannada and Culture Minister said.

Another query, the minister said in order to accelerate patriotism of the nation, the Kannada and Culture department, Youth department and education departments are taking into consideration a new plan to celebrate 39 Jayanthis in a meaningful manner. The Platinum Jubilee celebration of Independence and the environment of the patriotism department is thinking about how to celebrate. In regard to the celebration of platinum celebrations and celebrations of various Jayanthis will be discussed in the coming legislative session, he said.

In regard to implementation of prepaid electric meters and smart meters, the minister said that discussions are on these matters, but nothing is finalized. The final decisions will be made after the discussions, he said.  

Another query, the minister said that the schools might start in the first week of September in Udupi district.
