Udupi : As many as 113 new positive cases and  two persons succumbed to death which both male from Udupi  aged 72 and 85 years old respectively  for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Thursday, August 26. Active cases are reduced to 1585.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 113 covid positive cases, 53 cases reported as symptomatic which 23 are male and 30 are female, meanwhile out of 60 cases of asymptomatic 30 are  male and  30 are female. 

Among 113 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 43, from Kundapura 25, Karkala taluk is 44 and from other districts is one. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 24 and at Home Isolation are 89. Total active cases today are 1585.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 25.08.2021 are 7670 and total tested on second wave till 25 .08.2021 is 554904. Total first wave and second wave tested are 923145. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 26.08.2021 during second wave are 112 and total discharges on second wave are 47845.  Total discharges in the district are 71266.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. Two deaths reported on second wave occurred today on Thursday on 26.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 257.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 447.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 49687. Total positives in the district are increased to 73298.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Wednesday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 7255 and cumulative total 261696, second dose 2255, cumulative second dose 341671, above 45 years Ist dose are 2672 and cumulative total 341671, IInd dose 2943 and cumulative total 181125, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose1, cumulative total is 19596, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 45 and cumulative total  is 4128. Total today Ist dose are 9927 which cumulative total is 635013, 2nd dose 5198, Cumulative total 242075.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 26.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 26.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 26.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 26.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 26.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases 2.
