Y.C.S. Beginner’s Program at Kemmannu Church.

Kemmannu, August 22, 2021: The program was started through Prayer Song. The guest of honours were welcomed by Miss Alisha Baretto. The Udupi Diocesan Y.C.S. Director Rev. Fr Edwin D’Souza, Kallianpur Deanary Y.C.S. Director Rev. Fr Steven Fernandes, Parish Priest of Kemman Rev. Fr Victor D’Souza, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council Mrs Maxi Andrade & 20 Ayog Sanchalaki Mrs Jyothi Baretto, Y.C.S. Animator of Kemman & Thottam Parish Mrs Mary D’Souza & Mrs Lavina Arouza, Kallianpur Deanary President Mr Loyd Cornelio & Diocese President Mr Melron and council members were on dais.

Inauguration was done by watering a flower plant. Fr victor gave presidential speech and wished. Then the stage was handed over to Fr Edwin D’Souza who continued the further program. Youths were asked to introduce themselves. Then had games in the beginning which made youths active. Later youths were divided into 4 group. This was the discussion part of a given incident. We were introduced to the 3 elements of taking decisions:

1. See (ಪಳೆ)

2. Judge (ಪಾರ್ಕಿ)

3. Act (ಕಾರ್ಯಾಕ್ ದೇಂವ್)

Group discussion activities were carried on. This was a innovative idea which made everyone interact with each other and share everyone’s idea and the way of thinking. This orientation program made youth active back again. Mrs Lavina Arouza compered the programme. A total of 42 youths from Kemman & Thottam were present for the programme. The programme concluded with snacks.
