Udupi : As many as 106 new positive cases and  one person which 68 years old male succumbed to death from Udupi   for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Friday, August 27. Active cases are reduced to 1503.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 106 covid positive cases, 52 cases reported as symptomatic which 30 are male and 22 are female, meanwhile out of 54 cases of asymptomatic 29 are  male and  25 are female. 

Among 106 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 52, from Kundapura 31, Karkala taluk is 22 and from other districts is one. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 21 and at Home Isolation are 85. Total active cases today are 1503.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 26.08.2021 are 8172 and total tested on second wave till 26 .08.2021 is 563076. Total first wave and second wave tested are 931317 Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 27.08.2021 during second wave are 187 and total discharges on second wave are 48032.  Total discharges in the district are 71453.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Friday on 27.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 287.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 448.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 49793. Total positives in the district are increased to 73404.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 18637and cumulative total 280333, second dose 3758, cumulative second dose 40984, above 45 years Ist dose are 6396 and cumulative total 348067, IInd dose 4567 and cumulative total 185692, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 370, cumulative total is 19966, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 93 and cumulative total  is 4221. Total today Ist dose are 25033 which cumulative total is 660046, 2nd dose 8788, Cumulative total 250863.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 27.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 27.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 27.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 27.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 27.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
