Interactive Career Guidance Program at University Evening College

The much needed direction for the student youth to make them clear there where they would see themselves their future is very important at the threshold of every graduation entering student. From this perspective it is the duty of every Institution to eye open the students towards all explorations- said Dr Subhashi Srivatsa, Principal of University Evening College organizing Four days Interactive Guidance Program on “Exploring Career Prospective” exclusively for P U Students from 23rd to 26th August, 2021.

Mr Venkatesha Nayak, Dept of M.com was a resource person for the first day in the session on “Structural Reformations in Degree Education: New National Policy Perspective”. In this session discussion on changes with regard to Subject and Discipline choices were made clear to the students. On 24th, the second day, resource person Mr Arun F Sequiera, Dept of BCA has presented a session on “Career Navigation towards Science” in which the education career choices in the field of Science were been explored. Third day was been set to discuss on “Career Road map through Commerce and Management Education” for the students. Ms Kavya P Hegde, the resource person from the Dept of M.com has opened a wide arena of Career Building choices in Commerce Education. A discussion on “Multidimensional Opportunities in Arts Education” has been conducted on 26th August, last day of the program. Mrs Madhushree J Shriyan, Dept of History has resourced a session, explaining diversified and extended opportunities through studying Arts Discipline.

These Four Days Interactive sessions were been moderated by faculty of the college, Ms Harinakshi, Mr Venkatesh K G, Mr Raghavendra and Dr Rathi respectively. The benefit of the program has been shared by 158 students from different colleges through online. The Program was Compeered by Mr Steevan D Souza, Dept of MBA(IB). Dr Rathi from Dept of Economics was the Coordinator of the Program.

ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರೌಢ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ನೀರಿಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಲ್ಕುದಿನಗಳ “ವೃತ್ತಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆ - ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿ ಸಂವಾದ”ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ವಿ.ವಿ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸುಭಾಷಿಣಿ ಶ್ರೀವತ್ಸರವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅಗಸ್ಟ 23 ರಿಂದ 26ರವರೆಗೆ ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರೌಢ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ನೀರಿಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಲ್ಕುದಿನಗಳ “ವೃತ್ತಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆ - ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿ ಸಂವಾದ”ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ವಿ.ವಿ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸುಭಾಷಿಣಿ ಶ್ರೀವತ್ಸರವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅಗಸ್ಟ 23 ರಿಂದ 26ರವರೆಗೆ ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 23ರಂದು “Structural Reformations in Degree Education: New National Policy Perspective” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಸಂವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಎಂ.ಕಾಂ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ ನಾಯಕ್ ರವರು ಹೊಸ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಶಾಖೆಗಳ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು, ಕು. ಹರಿಣಾಕ್ಷಿ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. 24ರಂದು “ಅಚಿಡಿeeಡಿ ಓಚಿvigಚಿಣioಟಿ ಣoತಿಚಿಡಿಜs Sಛಿieಟಿಛಿe”  ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅರುಣ್ ಎಫ್. ಸಿಕ್ವೇರಾ ಸಂಪನ್ನಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಆಧುನಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃದ್ದಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರಗಳನ್ನು ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ ಕೆ.ಜಿ ಯವರು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಮೂರನೆ ದಿನದಂದು “Career Road map through Commerce and Management Education” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ನಡೆದ ಚರ್ಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಕಾಂ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಕು. ಕಾವ್ಯ ಪಿ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಡಳಿತ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರವರು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. “Multidimensional Opportunities in Arts Education” ಎಂಬ ಸಂವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನದಂದು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಧುಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ ಶ್ರೀಯಾನ್ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ರತಿಯವರು ಸಂವಾದ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ನಾಲ್ಕುದಿನಗಳ ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿ- ಸಂವಾದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 158 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆನ್‍ಲೈನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ  ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡಾ. ರತಿಯವರು ಸಂಯೋಜಿದ್ದರು., ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸ್ಟೀವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
