Ravi Katpady in action with disguises Fancy dress on Sri Krishna Astami to donate needy children

Udupi : Even though the pandemic of corona virus, this time also Ravi Katpady has come out with extraordinary fancy dress on Sri Krishna Astami and Vittla Pindi days who disguises himself and collects money for the treatment of children.


Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Saturday, August 28, Ravi Katpady said that since 6 years he collected around Rs. 72 lac and donated to needy for treatment and other serious issues. Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh has given some restrictions and conditions during the fancy dress due to covid pandemic. DC asked to take jab of covid vaccination and he had done so.
He said that he has planned to donate this year for four children who suffering from different diseases like Cancer and other. On 30th and 31st August this year he will go various places like Malpe, Katpady, Kaup, Shankerpura, Udupi city, Santhekatte and other places and collect money from like-minded people, shopkeepers and so on.


Ravi Katpady, who is recognized at his state level by his distinctive social services, is attracted by large number of people and people knew that the collected money has been given to needy. His disguises fancy which would be most typical one and so people are attracting him and raise money. The collected money, he doesn’t keep with him, but give for treatment of children who badly needs money.
The superstar Amithab Bacchan led TV programme “Kaun Banega Karodpathy” once selected to participate by Ravi Katpady for the Karam Veer category for social service sector pros. Ravi Katpady earned Rs. 12.5 lakh from this programme and whole amount spent for treatment of sick people. He never keeps what he earns from every Fancy dress disguises during the Sri Krishna Astami time.
