Udupi : Vinay Kumar Sorake demands to suspend Mudradi Gram Panchayat Officer(PDO) against the illegally constructing the house building in forest department land.

Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club, Vinay Kumar Sorake former MP and Minister said that Mudradi and Hebri Gram Panchayat Development Officer falsely created records on the forest department land at Perdur village in order to construct a building. Moreover, due to his link with BJP leaders, the said PDO succeeded to transfer the Perdur PDO, he said.

Sorake said that the forest land of Perdur Gram Panchayat Survey No. 73/3, Sadashsiva Servegar taken permission to construct a building with showing false records and produced permission of electrical connection to the house with receiving electric current bill. Hence, PDO Sumana was investigated on the construction of the building with the complaint in regard to construction of building in forest land survey no 296. During the time of investigation of the land records, Perdur Gram Panchayat President Devoo Poojary, members Tukaram Nayak, Jagadish Shetty, Sachin Poojary were disrupted PDO Sumana investigation and threatened her. They also threatened to complain with higher officer on PDO Sumana that she has been investigating the case.

Therefore, with the help of political leaders, Sumana has been transferred to other Gram Panchayat as a PDO. Already, Tahsildar was investigated on the said land and found that Sadashiva Shervegar produced false records and constructed a building illegally, Sorake said.

Sorake said that police complaint already registered in Hiriyadka police station on Perdur Gram Panchayat president Devoo Poojary, Tukaram Nayak, Jagadish shetty and Sachin Poojary under SC/ST act. However, due to political pressure, police not arrested the accused till today, he alleged.

Perdur Gram Panchayat Vice President Chetana Shetty, members Uday Kulal, Dinesh Poojary, Sathish Naik, Santhosh Kulal and Congress leader Harish Kini were present during the press meet.
