Udupi : As many as 69 new positive cases for COVID-19 and one succumbed to death of 82 year old male from Karkala taluk in Udupi district on Friday, September 24, 2021. Total discharges today 112 and active cases reduced to 406.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 69 covid positive cases, 49 cases reported as symptomatic which are 20 male and 29 are female, meanwhile out of 20 cases of asymptomatic  9 are  male and 11 are female. 

Among 69 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 36, from Kundapura 15, Karkala taluk is 14 and from other districts are four. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 13 and at Home Isolation are 56. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 23.09.2021 are 3381 and total tested on second wave till 23.09.2021 is 746470. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1114711. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 24.09.2021 during second wave are 112 and total discharges on second wave are 51746.  Total discharges in the district are 75167.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Friday on 24.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 282.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 472.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52434. Total positives in the district are increased to 76045.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 910 and cumulative total 429815, second dose 2531, cumulative second dose 108503, above 45 years Ist dose are 622 and cumulative total  427459, IInd dose 675 and cumulative total 251307 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 22663, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 6413. Total today Ist dose are 1537 which cumulative total is 888924, 2nd dose 3206 Cumulative total 388886.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 24.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 24.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 24.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 24.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 24.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
