Standard 6 to 10 permitted to operate 5 days a week with full strength

Bengaluru : The prevailing Covid-19 situation in the state has been witnessing declining trend in the number of daily cases and positivity rate, there is a need for continued focus on five-fold strategy of test-track-treat-vaccination and adherence to covid appropriate behavior for effective management of covid-19 and to prevent any potential rise especially during the ensuing festival season.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 24(1) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, hereby directs that the guidelines for Covid-19 surveillance, containment and caution issued vide order of even number dated 3.7.2021 and connecting orders and caution issued vide order of even number dated 3.7.2021 and connecting and caution issued to the said guidelines, as read above, along with modifications and additions as listed below, will remain in force in the entire state upto 6am of 11-10-2021 for strict implementation by chief commissioner BBMP, Police Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Superintendant of Police and other heads of departments and authorities.
1. Night curfew will continue to be imposed with revised timing from 10 pm to 5am in the state as per the existing guidelines with effect from 25.09.2021.
2. Cinema halls/multiplexes/theatres/rangamandiras/ auditoriums and similar places permitted to operate with 100% of its seating capacity from October 1, 2021 strictly adhering to covid appropriate behavior in districts having covid test positivity rate(TPR) of less than 1%. For districts having TPR greater than 1% existing arrangement of 50% seating capacity will continue. The entry to such places will be restricted only to the persons who have been at least vaccinated once. Pregnant women and elderly are advised not to visit these places. Thermal screening should be done at the entry. All the places including rest rooms mentioned above should be sanitized after every show. Hand sanitizer at entry and at strategic places should be provided by the organizers.
3. Pubs permitted to operate strictly adhering to Covid 19 appropriate behavior from 3.10.2021.
4. Class from 6th to 10th standard permitted to operate for 5 days a week with full strength in districts having test positivity rate less than 1%. Intensive sanitization must be done on Saturdays and Sundays for such schools. In the districts have greater than 1% test positivity rate, existing arrangement will continue.
Further, strict surveillance at the border posts setup by the districts adjoining Kerala and Maharashtra states shall continue as per the prevailing circular guidelines issued by department of Health and family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
