Udupi : As many as 68 new positive cases for COVID-19 and one succumbed to death of 78 year old female from Udupi taluk in Udupi district on Friday, September 25, 2021. Total discharges today 67 and active cases reduced to 406.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 68 covid positive cases, 42 cases reported as symptomatic which are 27 male and 15 are female, meanwhile out of 26 cases of asymptomatic  12 are  male and 14 are female. 

Among 68 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 31, from Kundapura 11, Karkala taluk is 24 and from other districts are two. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 9 and at Home Isolation are 59. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 24.09.2021 are 3635 and total tested on second wave till 24.09.2021 is 750105. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1118346. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 25.09.2021 during second wave are 67 and total discharges on second wave are 51813.  Total discharges in the district are 75234.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Saturday on 25.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 283.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 473.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52502. Total positives in the district are increased to 76113.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 368 and cumulative total 430183, second dose 1375, cumulative second dose 109878, above 45 years Ist dose are 173 and cumulative total  427632, IInd dose 388 and cumulative total 251695 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 22663, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 6413. Total today Ist dose are 541 which cumulative total is 889465, 2nd dose 1763 Cumulative total 390649.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 25.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 25.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 25.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 25.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 25.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
