Udupi : As many as 40 new positive cases for COVID-19 and no death reported in Udupi district on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Total discharges today 73 and active cases reduced to 373.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 40 covid positive cases, 29  cases reported as symptomatic which are 13 male and 16 are female, meanwhile out of 11 cases of asymptomatic  5 are  male and 6 are female. 

Among 40 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 28, from Kundapura 7, Karkala taluk is 5 and from other districts are nil. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 10 and at Home Isolation are 30. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 25.09.2021 are 3041 and total tested on second wave till 25.09.2021 is 753146. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1121387 Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 26.09.2021 during second wave are 73 and total discharges on second wave are 51886.  Total discharges in the district are 75234.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. No death reported on second wave occurred today on Sunday on 26.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 283.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 473.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52542. Total positives in the district are increased to 76153.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Friday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 105 and cumulative total 430288, second dose 228, cumulative second dose 110106, above 45 years Ist dose are 73 and cumulative total  427705, IInd dose 97 and cumulative total 251792, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 22663, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 1 and cumulative total  is 6414. Total today Ist dose are 178 which cumulative total is 889643, 2nd dose 326, Cumulative total 390975.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 26.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 26.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 26.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 26.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 26.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
