Udupi : As many as 591 new positive cases for COVID-19 and no succumbed to  death on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Total discharges today are 78 and active cases are 3392

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 591 covid positive cases, 181 cases reported as symptomatic which is 90 male and 91 is female, meanwhile out of 410 cases of asymptomatic 209 is male and 201 is female. 

Among 591 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi taluk out of 4161 tested, positive is 404 which positivity rate is 9.71%, from Kundapura taluk out of 1496 tested, positive cases is 128 which is 8.56%, from Karkala taluk out of  1004 tested, positive cases  is 57 which is 5.68% and from other districts is 2. Total tested for Covid-19 in Udupi district is 6661 which positives are 591 and positive rate in the district is 8.84%.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, is 7, Covid Care Centre is 31, Designated Covid Hospital is 14 and at Home Isolation are 539.

Total tested on 15-01-2022 is 6661, Cumulative from 01.01.2022 to 15.01.2022 are 83865. Total discharges on 14.01.2022 are 78. Cumulative discharges in the district from 01.01.2022 to 15.01.2022 are 683. Total active cases in the district on Sunday, January 16 are 3392. Total positive in the district till 16.01.2022 from 01.01.2022 are 3927.
