Print Doha. Qatar : Indian Cultural Center etched at another milestone in the history of the Indian Community in Qatar.ICC invited all Indian women to ICC Ashoka Hall on 8th March 2022 to inaugurate ICC Women’s forum at the same time celebrate “International Women’s Day”.
The Chief Guest of the evening was Madam Ambassador Dr. Alpana Mittal, Indian School Women Principals Mrs. Hameeda Kadar, Mrs. Meenal Bakshi, Mrs. Pramila Kanan, Mrs. Asha Shiju attended the evening. Hope Qatar, Center for Special Needs Coordinator Mrs. Geeta Shohi Isaac was also present.
Mrs. Kamla Thakur welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Suma Mahesh Gowda was a master ceremony of the evening. Mrs. Shweta Koshti briefed the ICC Women’s forum objectives.
ICC President Mr. PN BabuRajan explained the management committee intent of creating the ICC Women’s Forum. A common platform to be created for all Indian Women, to share knowledge, talent, skill, understanding to resolve various issues related to Social, career, and family wellbeing.
In an inspiring speech delivered by Chief Guest of the evening, Dr. Alpana Mittal briefed how women are perceived and what must change to look up to them as achievers.
The celebrations began with lighting traditional lamps, dance performances by ICC Women forum and Kerala Women’s Initiative Qatar (KWIQ)s and followed with cake cutting by Chief Guest and other invitees to mark the inauguration of ICC Women’s Forum. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Dishary Roy.
