A great start to MEJORA INCESANTE  Unceasing improvement - An unique weeklong programme at Milagres College, Kallianpur

In the light of unusually fast changes experienced in the prevailing education system and in line with New Educational policy (NEP), there is not only constant demand to prepare market for educated or qualified students to make them available for ready employment, once they are out of Colleges and Universities, but also it has been observed many streams of learning have no enthusiastic takers, especially humanities, traditional arts and social sciences…..

The Management and the Principal of the Milagres College Kallianpur and his colleagues in association with its well oiled and innovative IQAC & Career Guidance Cell, thought it apt to think and something out of the box and it took a shape today to offer the final year Students of BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, MCom, MSW with a weeklong training programme – MEJORA INCESANTE, Unceasing improvement with expert trainers and resource persons.

‘It is time offer our students what make them competitive, ready to take up jobs, at premium with best in the market to be absorbed or to be employable…..Principal Dr Vincent Alva informed in his introductory address. He continued, ‘this week long courses will definitely change the mindset of youngsters, he assured the youngsters it’s once in their life time opportunity just make best out of it he stressed.

Prof. (Major) Radhakrishna M , Fr James DSouza, Mr Jason Johnny, Fr Jason Pinto the expert Resource team was e briefly introduced to the participants who were divided into two groups Neptune and Mercury, comprising about 100 plus in each group. In the sidelines another team of Computer specialists led by Ms Akshata Kiran, proprietor, M/s Fortune Institute of Computer Education, Udupi, Ms Anushifa and others training the aspiring students Tally with GST, and many other outreach programmes are chalked out for the benefit of juniors in the College.

Very Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, the Correspondent of Milagrean Educational Institutions, lighted the traditional lamp with dignitaries on the dais to inaugurate the week long Certificate Programme, which is specially designed for semi-urban background youngsters to make them familiar with corporate communication skills, reinventing the hidden talents, strengths and weathering short comings tactfully to sail through and fit to be in the competitive global exposure. In his message, gave a call to the would be graduates within next couple of months to live up to the expectations of their parents, teachers and Institution as they united work towards the common goal their welfare.

‘Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi dreamed and wanted youth to build a strong, educated India and villages to be progressed to reap the benefits of freedom and Milagres College always stood by these principles and ideals….”, Fr Mendonca, narrated and wished that ‘this well thought and neatly planned programme be a trend setter to others to follow…” he concluded.

IQAC Co-ordinator Dr Jayram Shettigar, proposed vote of thanks and asked the students to learn best from the experts and retain it as a life time treasure. Prof Ravinandan PRO of the College, Student Council Directors Prof Karthik Nayak, Prof Chandrika and others put in their best efforts with Principal to organise and facilitate this very special training event, well received by the students.
