Udupi : The installation ceremony of Lions Club, Kallianpur office bearers for the year 2022/23 was held at Amrith Garden, Ambagilu near here on Friday, July 29, 2022. Ln. Rajeev Kotian MJF, District GET coordinator, district 317c, Zone 1, Region VI, was officiated the installation for the team of Ln George D’Souza elect for 2022/23.

The installation ceremony began with international Lions formalities. One minute silence prayer was observed for the peace in the world.

The Lions Club Kallianpur outgoing president Ln Jerome Lewis welcomed the gathering. Ln Lancy D’Silva gave introduction on installation officer Ln Rajeev Kotian. The installation officer Ln Rajeev Kotian conducted the installation ceremony and taken oath from all the directors including the newly elected president Ln George D’Souza, Secretary Ln Tolbert D’Souza, Ln Udaya Kumar Treasurer of Lions Club, Kallianpur with Lions tradition. Meanwhile, the installation officer was also officiated Leo Club stars President Leo Rion Rovin Dias, Secretary Leo Anup Parambil and Treasurer Leo Jeevan D’sa.

Ln Rajeev Kotian placed the history and growth of Lions Club, International all over the world. The service of Lions Club International spread over more than 150 countries with thousands of membership. He also appreciated the services of Lions Club Kallianpur for the society at large. He said that it would be no doubt that Lions Club Kallianpur will give marvelous services under the leadership of Ln George D’Souza and his team for the coming Lions year.

During the occasion, Shree Kumar, social worker, agriculturist, helper for the needy poor persons, was felicitated by the guests on the dais. His marvelous guidance, and help during the Covid pandemic and various other occasions, his contribution to the society was remembered.

Meanwhile four toppers of previous examination of SSLC were honoured during the occasion.  Moreover, scholarship for poor students was distributed by the guests on the dais. One member joined the Club and accepted his vows by the Ln Rajeev Kotian, installation officer and Lions pin was attached to the new member by former district Lions Governor Tallur Shivaram Shetty.

The outgoing President Ln Jerome Lewis was felicitated during the occasion. He gave gratitude to all the board of directors of Lions Club Kallianpur and others for smooth leading the Lions Club with utmost services.

Ln Dr. Nery Cornelio designated Lions Governor of district, Ln Vijaya G Bangera, Regional President, Tallur Shivaram Shetty, former District Governor, Girija Shivaram Shetty and others were spoke during the occasion.

New installed President Ln George D’Souza gave gratitude words and thanked one and all. Secretary Ln Tolbart D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Ln Ramdas Shettigar compered the programme. Large number of various Lions Clubs office bearers and members, guests and others were participated and witnessed the installation ceremony of Lions Club Kallianpur for the 2022/23.
