Puttur : St. Philomena college Puttur campus was delighted to witness the blessing and inauguration of the renovated Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall, Divya Chetana Chapel and Shalom priests’ residence on 2nd August 2022. Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha , the Bishop of Mangalore blessed and inaugurated these renovated infrastructures in the campus. Thanks giving Eucharist was Celebrated in the newly renovated Chapel.
The renovation works were supported by Mr Michael D’Souza, NRI Philanthropist, Puttur/Dubai, UAE. His charity trust team members Rev Fr Valerian D’Souza, Mr Stephen Pinto, Mr Oswald Rodrigues, Mr Nazir were felicitated during the program.
Rev Fr Anthony Shera, Secretary, Catholic Board of Education, Diocese of Mangalore, Fr Anthony Prakash Monterio, Principal St Philomena College, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal St Philomena PU College, Managing Committee members, Heads of the Institutions, PTA and Alumni association, Staff and Student Council representatives, parishioners and well-wishers were present during the occasion.
Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Correspondent Mai De Deus Institutions Puttur welcomed the gathering. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director appreciated and thanked those responsible for the renovation project.
