Print Konkani Club Programme and Release of Newsletter in SMS College, Brahmavar.
The Programme was started at 3-15pm. Ms Disha Bhat (an alumna and presently lecturer in Commerce in B D Shetty College, Sastan) was the guest speaker. The programme was started with an invocation to the almighty. Ms Nandita Pai from I BA welcomed the gathering.
Convener Mr Alfred Furtado in his introductory remarks remembered the guidance and cooperation of Dr Y R Rao (Former Principal) during the initial stages of Konkani Club. Mr Aaron Roche from II BCom introduced the guest to the gathering. The 6th issue of the newsletter was released by Ms Disha Bhat. She remembered the days with an outburst of emotions when she was the founder Secretary of the Club. In her speech she said, preserving of a minor language is preserving of a culture. Principal Mr Prasanna Shetty who was the President of the programme congratulated the Club members and assured all needful support.
Secretary Ms Viola Vaz from III BCom proposed the vote of thanks. Convener Mrs Seema Lewis was also on the dais. The programme was meticulously compered by Ms Janice Oliveira and Ms Rostlin Dsilva both from III BCom.
