Carol singing ushers in Christmas celebrations at Ryan

Ryan International Group of Schools ushered in the spirit of celebration, unity, togetherness and happiness of Christmas by hosting the annual carol singing competition at Ryan International School (ICSE), Malad, on December 10, 2022, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students from seven schools of the Ryan Group.

The school choir, dressed in brightly coloured costumes, sang melodious carols such as "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," among others, accompanied by the music of the school orchestra, with music lines sculpted by each school’s music conductor.

This Zonal Carol Singing Competition, featuring the melodious Christmas carols and music of the participating schools enthralled everyone and brought back the festive fervour of Christmas celebration among the students after two years of subdued celebrations due to the pandemic. The participating schools were -

•    Ryan Christian School,Borivli,

A galaxy of judges, comprising Mr. Praison Varghese, founder of Music Room Services, Mr. Suraj Naira trained Carnatic singer, Mr. NileshMhatre -Indian classical vocalist, Mrs. Rita Gama -Teacher, Ryan Victor –singer, songwriter and music director, Mr. Dev Modi- sound engineer, Mr. SumanBardewa -a senior guitarist and Mr. NiteshThapa- vocal and guitar expert graced the occasion.

Ryan International School –CBSE Kandivali was adjudged as the winner of Ryan Zonal Carol Singing Competition 2022. Ryan Christian School, Borivali, has been named the first runner-up, with Ryan International School, CBSE, Malad (West) named as the second runner-up.

Every year, an array of such competitions is organised by the Ryan International Group of Institutions, mentored by the Founder Chairman of the Group, Dr. A. F. Pinto, and the Managing Director, Madam Dr. Grace Pinto, to offer the students a holistic education that integrates music and performing arts in a significant way.
