Udupi : In order to industrialize development of the coastal region, a master plan will be made to give fundamental importance to culture, temples and others, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Addressing after inauguration of Parasuram Theme Park at Umekkal Betta, Bailoor near Karkala on Friday, January 27, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the historic day for Karnataka state, especially for coastal region for establishing Parasuram Theme Park in high natural place. Parasusram is one of the main creators. Like the personality of Karna, Parasuram’s personality is also the same. He was powerful, courageous and brilliant. He was the closest and lovely son of his mother. But, as per the order of his father, Parasuram cut his mother’s head and killed his mother. He was very sorry to kill his mother. However, he tried to take the coastal Tulunadu, he said.

The most beautiful 33 feet statue of Parasuram will be the main attraction in the Theme park. There will be a wide scope to development of tourism in the coastal region. Along with tourism, there will be a need for the development of the Industrial field. Hence, there will be a need for development of fundamental infrastructure also. It will be possible to develop ports, logistic parks, road transport etc which will be a possibility of development in longer run. Some proceeded to invest Rs. 1.5Crore capital in the coastal region for energy, Ammonia, Hydrogen etc. , he said.

He said that a small amount of capital is not enough for developmental works for the coastal region. There should be capital for developmental works of Ports and other economic activities should be increased. Giving packages is not important, but needs to empower the life of the people, he said.
