Kundapur: Haladi Srinivasa Shetty, who was elected as the MLA of Kundapur Assembly Constituency for five terms, has withdrawn from the electoral fray this time.

For the past few days, Haladi Srinivasa Shetty himself has raised the curtain on the news that he will not contest the election this time. He has released a press statement about this and said that he has resigned from his self-will and thanked the voters.

In his press release to the media, said that “I express my gratitude to the voters of all castes and religions of my constituency who have elected me as the MLA of Kundapur Assembly Constituency for a total of 5 consecutive terms. I am determined not to contest in this assembly election voluntarily. During my tenure as a Member of Legislative Assembly, I have fought for social justice and carried out my responsibility very diligently. Kundapur Assembly Constituency is a constituency with a lot of rural parts, and I am satisfied that I have given all the voters of this constituency an opportunity to express their demands and have responded to its pains and sufferings and fulfilled the aspirations of the people. I am proud that I have won the trust of all the voters of the constituency who elected me with a record vote margin in all the five elections and have gained the love and trust of the voters of the constituency by carrying out development work.

He said that “I am eternally indebted to the loyal workers, leaders and fans of the party who worked for the unprecedented victory of BJP candidates in the Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, Vidhan Parishad, Taluk Panchayat, Zilla Panchayat, Municipality and Town Panchayat elections held during my five-time tenure as the Constituency MLA.”

“My heartfelt thanks to the party leaders who have guided and cooperated with me in the development of the constituency, to all my old and young friends, officials, media and all the voters of the constituency.”

“The love and trust the voters have placed in me is the motivation for me to continuously perform my duties for the development of the constituency, for which I am once again grateful to all my supporters, to the party that allowed me to be elected as the MLA of Kundapur Assembly Constituency by the Bharatiya Janata Party and to all those who helped me to win as an independent member.
