Department of Computer Science and IT Club, Milagres College, Kallianpur had a special guest today in Mrs Vincilla Miranda to deliver a lecture on ‘Face the World Full of Challenges’.
At 2.30 pm, on Monday, 10th April, 2023, the College AV Hall was full and curious to listen to a practical session of sharing experiences of her life journey from an ordinary admn assistant to a successful supply chain Manager.
In the beginning the College Choir team invoked Almighty Lords blessings through prayers as Mrs. Jayalaxmi Dept of Computer Science extended a warm welcome, to the special Guest with her brief introduction and to all gathered. Principal Dr. Vincent Alva presided over the formal stage programme accompanied with Mrs. Wilma Cornelio, HOD Dept of Computer Science.
It was a very useful talk the participants acknowledged. She explained every journey start with first single step and passionate hard work, readiness to face challenges, quality education, learning from peer groups, choice of right and supportive friends and mentors will contribute immensely to achieve our goals, she told.
As Mrs Miranda interacted with the participants, the students were at ease to clarify their doubts and sought for more explanations from the resources person. She concluded, “Understanding is deeper than knowledge… as many people just know us but little will really understand us; please remember them for life time…” While wishing a ‘beautiful life’, to all gathered, this has to be built daily with love, laughter, sacrifice, patience, grace and forgiveness…
Before calling a close to the lively talk, Principal expressed his views on the subject and appreciated guest’s for sparing their valuable time and knowledge for the benefit of students. Ms Shwetha from III BCA proposed vote of thanks.
