Awareness on “Women Empowerment” at University Evening College, Mangaluru

Mangaluru:  University Evening College, Mangaluru conducted an awareness programme on “Women Empowerment” on 23rd May 2023 on the occasion of ‘Azadi ka Amruth Mahothsav’ at Shivarama Karantha Bhavana.

Resource person Mrs. Manjula Sunil, Co-ordinator of Samvada Yuva Sampanmoola Kendra, Mangaluru gave a realistic awareness of what a woman faces in this world and how to put a stop to the exploitation through proper channels of law, education, counseling, courage and strength. Gave a call that we all should be one and work for the upliftment of women’s right. Whether the woman is really empowered is a huge question in our society and we all should work hard to bring the answer Yes! The woman is empowered. The team gave awareness through breathtaking motivational songs and enacting.

Dr.Lakshmidevi L, Principal of University Evening College, Mangaluru presided over the function and said that a positive change should happen in the society to lift our women from negative forces. Gave a call to be conscious and open the eyes of knowledge to bring awareness for the need of women empowerment.

The programme was organized by Mrs. Rathi the Nodal Officer of Azadi ka Amrith Mahothsav. Mrs. Madhushree J Shriyan, Lecturer in History composed the programme. Mrs. Ashalatha, Lecturer in Kannada introduced the guests. Mrs. Joyce Verendritha, Lecturer in English proposed the vote of thanks. Prayer was invoked by Ganesh of II BA. Teaching and Non Teaching Faculty and Students were present during the programme.
