Udupi : District Mahila Congress demands the resignation of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh for his post in Indian Wrestlers’ Association on account of accusation by the Wrestlers.
Speaking during the press meet held at Udupi Press Club, Geetha Wagle, President of Udupi district Mahila Congress said that the Mahila Congress stand behind the various problems facing by the women in the country and moreover, the Mahila Congress massively supports for the wresters voice against the Bruj Bhushan Singh who accused by the Women Wresters of the country. Mahila Congress demands to arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh and asks to conduct the impartial investigation in regard to his involvement of atrocities on women wresters.
She said that when these striking wresters were honored by the Narendra Modi during they won the medal. Now, same prime minister not listen their striking women wrestlers voice against the Brij Bhushan Singh who accused sexual harassment on them. Prime Minister should hear the problems of the awarded wrestlers and need to sort out their problems, she said.
Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, Gopi Naik, Roshni Oliviera, Pramila Suvarna, Kadekar Saugamya Poojary, Laxmi Naik and others were present.
