Print Gruha Lakshmi Scheme: 6 Panchyat Awarness programme at St Peter Church community hall, Barkur on 30th Sep.
The Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, an ambitious new initiative by the Karnataka government and a election promise in the Congress Party’s manifesto, to support women heads of families.
Under this scheme, eligible women will receive financial assistance of ₹2000 per month.
Registration for the scheme is in progress, and interested individuals can apply through the official website. To familiarise and reach out to village and rural women, 6 Barkur Panchayat comprising Kachhur and Hosala organised a public awareness on Wednesday, 30th August, 2023, in the Sauharda Community Hall, St Peter Church Barkur at 1200 noon.
To be eligible, women must meet certain criteria, and the scheme aims to empower women, reduce poverty, and promote gender equality in the state. With this scheme, the government aims to improve the well-being of women and provide them with the means to make independent decisions for their families.
Many people especially economically poor, are excited about this scheme as it provides ₹2000 financial assistance to women who are heads of their families. Registration for the scheme already begun in July 2023, all over Karnataka and all eligible women in Karnataka can apply through the official website sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in.
The organisers requested women applying this scheme make sure to gather the necessary documents like Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, Domicile, and Ration Card before starting the online application process for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2023.
