Kallianpur : The 37^th Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava celebrations began on Tuesday,  September 19, 2023 by installing Lord Ganesh Idol at Santhekatte, Kallianpur here at Gopalkrishna Math premises, behind Madhuvana Hotel.

During the installation of Lord Ganesh idol, the office bearers of the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Committee members and devotees were present.

On the day of Ganesha Chaturthi, people worship the Astavinayakas referred to the eight embodiments of Lord Ganesha that abolished the negative powers of the evil elements that existed in the planet.

 Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations have special significance in undivided coastal district where it is celebrated in a grand manner. Colourful pandals and mataps are erected for the Vighna Nivaraka and is worshipped with all religious fervor. Ganesha is the supreme power who is loved and adored by one and all and Ganesha Chaturthi is a day when devout Hindus crave for his blessings and pray for the well- being of mankind.

The immersion of Lord Ganesha idol will be held on fourth day, Friday, 22nd September, 2023 to Swarna River, Kallianpur. Three days begins from Tuesday, several cultural programmes will be held in the every evening on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday the Lord Ganesha idol immersion will begin at 4pm.
