‘VISHWA GITA PARYAYA’ UAE Samiti Formed for Udupi Shree Puthige Paryayotsava 2024-26

Under the auspicious of Jagadguru Shree Manmadwacharya Moola Maha Sansthanam Shree Madhupendra Theertha Peetam the Shree Krishna Pooja Paryaya, Udupi Shree Puthige Paryayotsava 2024-26, Paryaya Swagatha Samithi, Shree Puthige Mata, Rathabeedhi, Udupi have scheduled ‘Viswa Gita Paryaya’ program from 8th January, 2024 to 18th January, 2024.

The Swamiji of Puthige Muth Shree Shree Sugunendra Theertha who have travelled across India and abroad spreading the knowledge of Hindu Sanatana Dharma everywhere he travelled has acquired a name of ‘Jagadguru’ for his contribution in teaching and spreading the goodness of the Dharma all over the world.  On 18th January, 2024 he will be attaining the ‘Sarvajna Simhansana’ for the fourth time to continue his seva for 2 more years in the Paryaya where he has invited all those devotees to attend the function with open invitation.  Earlier he was also invited by the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the Temple foundation in Abu Dhabi.

In this pretext the Organizing Committee of India had arranged a meeting in Fortune Atrium Hotel, Al Karama, Dubai today the 26th September, 2023 at 5 pm under the leadership of Praveen Kumar Shetty, Chairman of Fortune Group of Hotel who has been unanimously chosen as President of UAE Paryaya Committee.

On the dais were leaders from Udupi, Raghupathi Bhat, Ex-MLA/Minister Govt. of Karnataka and who is one of the Member of Organising Committee and President of the Paryaya Organising Committee, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Vice President, Sharath Hegde, Convenor, Praveen Kumar Shetty, President Shree Puthige Paryaya Samiti Dubai, Puthige Vasudev Bhat of Venus Group of Restaurants, Arun Ganiga, Businessman, Yathish Shetty, Businessman, Shodhan Prasad of Sandhya Creations & Sugandhraj Bekal, President of Marghadeepa Seva Samithi.  Sudhakar Rao Pejavar, President of Brahmanara Samaj Dubai was also in the meeting along with other invitees from India and Dubai.

Raghupathi Bhat as the leader of the Paryaya Committee spoke first on the program sharing and revealing the idea behind the program and also giving more highlights of the Paryaya and its importance.  His knowledge sharing was so educating that all the invitees heard spell bound and got to know more statistics on the program which is a very age old tradition followed by the Ashta Mutt since many years.

Praveen Kumar Shetty also spoke on the event and highlighted the great works done by Raghupati Bhat with some examples.  He also confirmed his support to the Paryaya and accepted the Presidency of the UAE Samithi.  He said that we shall have one more meeting in the coming months and see that more devotees will assemble and participate in the Paryaya.  Others in the dais also spoke and confirmed their support for the event in whatever way they could.

Udupi is an adobe of Lord Shree Krishna and a wondrous coastal city of Karnataka created none other than Lord Parushurama which has gained special prominence in the realm of heritages of India.  Lord Hanuman of Treta Yug, mighty Bhimasen of Dwapar Yug, reincarnated himself as Jagadguru Sriman Madhwacharya in Kali Yug almost eight centuries ago in a village called Pajaka near Udupi consecrated the Krishna Idol at Udupi which was originally worshipped by Rukmini Devi in Dwapar Yug.  Shree Madhwacharya riveted eight muths to perform pooja rituals to Lord Krishna which even today astha muths perform taking turn every 2 years and this system is called Paryaya.

Raghupati Bhat also disclosed some of the great works of Shree Shree Sugunendra Theertha Sripadaru who is the 31st pontiff in the lineage of Shree Upendra Theertharu, ascending the ‘Sarvajna’ Peetha for the 4th time along with his disciple Shree Shree Sushreendratheertha Swamiji. Having travelled across the country to preach Dharma, Shree Shree Swamiji found that ‘Sri Bhagavad Gita’ can be only solution for the problems of humanity.  Swamiji has built the grand and magnificent structure ‘Gita Mandir’ in his second Paryaya in the year 1992.

H.H. Swamiji has travelled to abroad and his contribution towards preservation and creating awareness about Sanatana Dharma is remarkable.  He has travelled and established 12 Sri Puthige Muth Krishna Temple in America, 1 each in England and Canada, 3 in Australia and many other places.

He also firmly believes that ‘Gita’ which is India’s greatest gift to mankind and has resolved to make his historic 4th Paryaya as ‘Vishwa Gita Paryaya’.  In this pretext Swamijee has already launched a global magnum opus project ‘Koti Gita Lekhana Yagna’ where tens of millions of people will learn about Gita.

Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde invited all the above dignitaries on to the stage and introduced them one by one.  They were all greeted with Rose.  He then briefed on the Grand Paryaya Celebrations which will commence from 8th January, 2024 with the Purva Pravesha of his holiness Sri Sri Sugunendrateertha Swamiji, where citizens of Udupi will welcome the incumbent Paryaya Samiji with devotion and great admiration.  

Hore Kanike will commence from 9th January 2024 where groceries, vegetables etc., will be offered, which is required to prepare Prasadam of Lord Sri Krishna to incalculable numbers of devotees who arrive to Prayayayotsavam.

On 18th January, 2024, most revered His Holiness Sri Sri Sugunendrateertha Sripadaru will ascend the ‘Sarvajna Peetha’ of Sri Sri Madhwacharya for the fourth time, after taking Akshaya Pathre and will be followed by grand Paryayay Darbar with other pontiffs.

This magnanimous Paryaya Celebration will last for almost a fortnight includes musical programs, dance and many cultural programs from renowned artistes

Raghupathi Bhat & Matataru Ratnakar Hegde jointly invited all those from UAE to the Paryaya celebrations and said that NRK’s will have a special reserved arrangement for their comfort during the celebrations and that the UAE Samithi headed by Praveen Kumar Shetty should send the details of those who will be taking part in the celebration for them to arrange.
