Udupi : “Students should focus on studies and should compromise on moral values. Parents should not pressurize the children but should encourage”, said Rotarian Alwyn Quadros, Asst District Rotary Governor.
He was speaking in the Apoorva Hall of Anugraha pastoral Centre Kakkunje, inaugurating Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh and Late Theresa Cornelio Kemmannu Scholarship distribution program on 1.10.2023.
Guest of honor Mrs. Veronca Cornelio and Mr Ligoury D Souza encouraged the students to so well in their studies. Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves thanked Late Theresa Cornelio Family for coming forward to help the needy students. President of catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Mr Santhosh Cornelio presided. Secretary Mrs. Olivia D Mello proposed vote of thanks. Convener of the programme Dr Gerald Pinto welcomed the gathering. Niyojit president Mr Ronald Almeida and Treasurer Mr Gerald Rodrigues were present.
30 students were awarded late Theresa Cornelio Kemmannu and Late James Lobo Mangalore scholarships and 12 students were awarded Catholic Sabha scholarship. 4.2 laks were given as scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Udupi diocese.
