‘KUDRU’ Tulu Film World Premiere launched in Dubai with Ticket Release

‘Kudru’ Tulu Movie Produced/Directed/Scripted by Bhaskar Naik under the banner of Moksha Creations had a World Premiere Launch in Dubai in a special program held yesterday the 10th of October, 2023 from 7 pm onwards in Fortune Plaza Hotel Banquet Hall, Ghusais, Dubai with cocktail dinner and special invitees.

Guests Lt.Gen.Amb.Dr. Devid Frank Fernandes, producer and businessman, Shashidhar Nagarajappa, President Karnataka Sangha Dubai & Kannada Pata Shale, James Mendonca, President of Mangalore Konkans and Businessman, Joseph Mathias, Actor/Singer/Philanthropist and businessman, Alwyn Pinto, well known Stage Artiste, Ashok Bailur, President of Sauharda Lahiri, Wilson D’sa & Ronald Olivera, Businessman (both friends of Bhaskar Naik) were the Guests of honour and who inaugurated the program with the traditional lighting the lamp.  They were all honoured with Rose by Sandhya Prasad of Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies.

The program was jointly hosted by Ronald Olivera, CEO of ZillionPathways, Dubai and Shodhan Prasad of Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies who is the Distributor of the Movie ‘Kudru’ in the UAE.

Multitalented MC Uttam Menezes took over the responsibility of the program very smoothly in his own style inviting, introducing and briefing on the Guests and the program in totality.

Uttam’s request were honored by all the Guests on stage who spoke with real contents on and about the Tulu Movies and the way the industry is going through.  Shashidhar Nagarajappa of Karnataka Sangha Dubai started his speech in Tulu, being a Kannadiga and was applauded by all those who were assembled. Frank Fernandes as usual a well-known orator spoke so brilliantly on the subject and with verses of Sanskrit sharing his thoughts and experience.  Similarly, James Mendonca & Jospeph Mathias also spoke on the reality of Tulu Cinema and expressed their solidarity.  Followed was by Alwyn Pinto & Wilson D’sa who shared some light moments and confirmed their solidarity.

Various Songs and Trailers were played during the event which was well applauded by the audience.  Those tits and bits provided proof of the movie being well made and rich looks keeping our age old traditions alive without compromising on the quality of the film.

It was something special that people in the audience including, Nanu Marol a dramatist and writer, Actress Lavina Fernandes, Actor Deepak Paladka, Director Ranjith Bajpe, Actor/Director Vishwanath Shetty expressed their feelings and support to KUDRU and said that they will see that the Movie will be a hit in UAE.

Frank Fernandes highlighted that whenever any Producer want to release his movie he expects all Tuluvas to support them irrespective of the class of the movie.  Producers do all what is required for the release of their movie in this part of the world but our own Tuluvas need to come forward and support which seldom happen. Shashidhar Nagarajappa said that if each Kannadiga/Tuluva Groups support with 100 tickets each then definitely any Tulu/Kannada Movie will become a super hit in UAE. It does not pinch any one’s pocket if they think they are supporting their mother tongue in a small way.  Similarly, other Guests also spoke on the solidarity to those new Movies getting ready for release but on a whole everyone’s common expression is that ‘we all need to stand together and support our own language movies’ at all times whenever we release good movies.  This is one thing lacking in our community and needs to be developed.

All expressed their sadness that sometimes people create so much of hype but in reality the movie will be substandard.  It relates to those movies released recently.  This will mislead the public and they think that all the movies are similar.  These kind of movies gives negative publicity in a small market like UAE which affects some good movie like ‘KUDRU’.

Movie Poster Release was done by all the Guests in the Stage followed by Premiere Ticket Release which was inaugurated and opened up with bookings from the Guests who paid cash and bought tickets.  Also there were pre-booking from many well-wishers who have confirmed their booking in WhatsApp prior to the release. Audience bought the tickets upfront and reserved their seats and also there were messages to book their seats in advance.

Recently during the ‘Aatidonji Dina’ in Dubai the Team had a Music Launch and Hero Harshit Hegde, Heroin’s Priya Hegde, Daina D’souza were on the stage during the event promoting their movie.

The film is a complete package of cultural touch, best scenic beauties of Malenadu, multi-cultural extravaganzas, Yakshagana and other rich traditions of Tulunadu which were portrayed and captured live in the lens of this film thus giving a traditional taste to the movie.

Bhasker Naik’s film provides a good message to the society giving importance to the multi-cultural, multi-religious tolerance inhibiting various natural feeling of the people living in the society.  It is the first film which shows the work style of the people working in oil rig in the gulf

Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies headed by Shodhan Prasad will be releasing the Movie in UAE and being supported by local businessman friend Ronald Olivera of Zillion Pathways.

It is expected that the Movie will be one of best movie of the recent releases and will have very many concerns of the Kannadiga workers in the Gulf.

The program had Pramod Kumar, Raviraj Tantry, Nagaraj Rao, Manohar Hegde, Ashok Bailur & Shodhan Prasad entertaining the audience with their melodious Tulu/Kannada/Teleugu/Hindi songs throughout.

The movie will be release all over the world once this premiere is concluded.
