Udupi : Rangabhoomi Udupi to hold state level 44^th Kannada Drama competition from November 22 at Nuthan Ravindra Mantap, MGM College at 6pm onwards, said Dr. Tallur Shivaram Shetty, President of Rangabhoomi Udupi.

Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Monday, Dr Tallur Shivaram Shetty said that the competition will be inaugurated by MGM College Principal Pro Laxminarayana Karanth. Dr. H S Ballal, Hon. President will be preside over the inaugural programme. The chief guests on the occasion will be Pramod Madhwaraj former minister and BJP leader, Bykady Suprasad Shetty President of Brahmavar Sugar Factory and Sathyanand Nayak Athrady, Entrepreneur.

During the competition one teach each from Ballari, Mysuru, Mandya, Vijayanagara, Belagavi, Dharvad and Udupi while from Bengaluru five teams will be participated. The drama competitions will be held for 12 days with each day one drama commenced from 6.30pm, he said.

The prizes will be for the first prize cash prize Rs 35,000, second prize 25,000 and third prize money will be Rs 15,000. Meanwhile, prizes will be given to best director, best actor, best actress, best song, comedy, child actor, light and others.

Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor Vice President, N Gopal Ballal, Vice president, Pradeepchandra Kuthpady General Secretary, Sripad Hegde Joint Secretary and  Vivekanand N were present during the press meet.
