Udupi : Coastal Karnataka is the home of bodybuilders. Especially, Udupi district is recognized as a destination for talented bodybuilders in the state. In this background, Udupi District Body Builders Association has already successfully organized many bodybuilding competitions at district, inter-district and state level in Udupi environment and district.

Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club on Thursday, Govardhan N Bangera said that Presently under the guidance of Karnataka Association of Body Builders and in collaboration with Udupi District Body Builders Association, the Steering Committee organized the ’Mr. Coastal Classic 2024’ on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at ’Shivagiri Sabhabhavan’, Sri Narayana Guru Mandir, Udupi-Bannanje to provide a suitable platform for talented and budding bodybuilders. Udupi District Body Builders Association Honorary President ’Mr. Billava 2024’ organized bodybuilding competitions, Mr India’ Govardhana N. Bangera said.

The state level bodybuilding competition ’Mr. Coastal Classic 2024’ will be held on Monday 23rd from 6.00 pm for the selection of bodybuilders who will participate in the national level ’Federation Cup’ bodybuilding competition to be held in Goa on 6th and 7th April.

Any bodybuilder can participate in this competition. The competition will be held in total 8 categories of body weight 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 and above 85 kg.

Winners of 5 positions in each category including ’Mr. Coastal Classic 2024’ title, runner up and best poser will be awarded with attractive cash prize and medal.

The president of the Indian Body Builders Association from 10.30 am on March 23! Madhav Pujari Memorial Trophy ’Mr. Billava 2024’ bodybuilding competition will be held in ’Seniors and Masters’ category.

This competition, which will be held for the first time in the state, provides an opportunity for bodybuilders of the Billava community to showcase their talent. The title and runner-up will be awarded with attractive cash prizes.

The ’Mr. Coastal Classic 2024’ competition is organized by G.Shankar Family Trust(res.) Ambalapadi and its promoter Nadoja Dr. G.Shankar will inaugurate and J. Neelkanth, president of Karnataka Association of Body Builders (Retd.) will preside.

The ’Mr. Billava 2024’ competition was organized by Gopal C. Billavara Seva Sangh (Retd.) Malpe. Gopal C Bangera will be inaugurated and the Honorary President of Udupi District Body Builders Association (R.I.) ’Mr. India’ Govardhana N. Bangera will preside.

Dignitaries from various fields and social leaders will participate as chief guests.

He requested body builders and sports fans to participate in large numbers to make the competition a success.

National Referee and Karnataka Association of Body Builders (Retd) Vice President Gangadhar M., National Referee and Steering Committee General Secretary Milind Salyan, District Body Builders Association Vice President and Steering Committee Organizing Secretary Shivakumar Ambalapadi, National Referee and District Body Builders Association General Secretary Vishwanath. Kamath was present at the press conference.
