Print Kolar, (Mulabagalu): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the campaign has officially begun today from Kolar and the response from the people is very good. People of all castes, middle classes are on our side. The CM expressed confidence that this time the Congress candidate will win by a large margin.
He was speaking to the media while participating in the election campaign for Lok Sabha candidate K.V Gautam today.
Why should people vote for BJP?
The centre had allocated 5300 crore in the budget of the central government. Did they give even one rupee? The 15th finance commission had promised to provide 5495 crores. They had also promised to allocate Rs 3000 crore each for the development of peripheral ring road and lakes. Did they give it? Did they bring 15 lakh rupees from abroad and give it to everyone? The BJP promised that they will create 2 crore jobs every year. They said Acche din Ayega and that farmers’ income would be doubled, they said they would reduce prices. Did they? The Chief Minister asked a series of questions about why the people should vote for the BJP.
People believed in our guarantees and voted. We have implemented all the five guarantees, he said.

Reacting to BJP’s statement that the government will fall after the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has won 136 seats and secured 43% of the votes. BJP won 64. More people will join our party. He said that there is no question of the government falling. He said that the guarantees will be implemented for all five years.
Responding to a question on Minister K. H. Muniappa’s absence in the campaign, the CM said that he could not come hereas he is busy in Bengaluru rural district.
